Tonight’s dish is an adaption to the Toasted Garlic Cheese Ravioli. I added chicken to the garlic as it sautéed and used cheese tortellini instead of ravioli. My husband commented that the tortellini works better than the ravioli in his opinion and I agree. It holds the garlic better than the ravioli, creating a more complete flavor.
Ingredients:
Frozen chicken strips
Olive oil
Fresh chopped garlic
Italian seasoning
Dried minced onions
Coarse black pepper
Cheese tortellini (fresh, frozen, or dried – tonight I had dried in my pantry)
Parmesan cheese
Parsley
Peel and chop garlic, add to heated oil in skillet
Boil water and add pasta
Add chicken, onions, pepper, and seasoning to garlic and oil in skillet
Sautee garlic and chicken until evenly toasted and browned
Drain pasta, stir in chicken, garlic, oil, seasoning, and parmesan
Serve topped with parsley and parmesan
So good!
